Danby's Enjoying Move to Old City Garage

6/18/2009

There's plenty of activity these days at the old city garage located at 41 High Street.
The site which was first developed for the old Parker Gun Company had been out of use for some time but over the past year Kevin Curry and his staff have transformed the once vacant building into a towing operations center for Danby's Service Station of Meriden.
Curry, owner of Danby's Service Stations, said Tuesday that the move has given his business a central location to assist police with towing and provides additional indoor space for storage and maintenance of his truck fleet during winter months.
"The location has been a great location for the towing business," Curry said. "It provides a more central location so that we aren't stuck fighting traffic along East Main Street and it's given us more inside storage and room at a place that is designed to be a garage."
